The squad that has been assembled for this year certainly looks capable of making the step if they gel together properly by the time the 8's come around. I just don't see that he will miss the opportunity of trying to achieve the goal set out. If you do not make Super League for next season then that could be a different story, but the here and now says that Ryan will be at Leigh this season striving to achieve Super League status. Just another journalist with a bit of time on his hands wanting to write 'non stories' in the off season in my opinion. But, I have been wrong before, I didn't think that Rangi would sign for you and look what happened! Sorry for jumping on your board, but I know what it is like to have all this lazy 'journalism' thrown at the club you love - we've had plenty of the cr*p in previous seasons.'"

Great post caslad75
So nice to see a considered & informed opinion from one of Tigers many RL savvy fans, unfortunately there are a few who pop up on here to spout nonesense & vitriol, glad your not one of them.
FWIW, I also believe that Ryan want's to help take the club to SL & has a clear passion for both playing for Leigh & for the fans of Leigh.
While Ryan is a Salford fan like his Dad & would like to play SL for them one day, currently he would only end up playing for survival with the Reds, unless of course they can turn it around this year.
I don't expect Ryan to go anywhere this year, but as you quite rightly say, should Leigh not achieve SL this season then he would probably reconsider his options.
