It's playoff time on Saturday when Leigh Miners take on Siddal in the NCL Premier Division Qualifying Semi Final. The winner going straight into the Grand Final on Sunday 8th November with the loser having a second bite at the cherry with a home tie next week against the winner of the Rochdale Mayfield and Wath Brow Hornets game.

Miners have had a great season so far with reaching the fifth round of the Challenge Cup earlier in the year and more recently winning the league leaders trophy and the conference challenge trophy for the third time in four years. The treble dream is very much alive for the Twist Lane outfit but they know they will have to be at their very best on Saturday if they are to beat a very good Siddal side.

So don't miss out on what should be a cracker of a game between two heavyweights of the amateur game!

It's a shame it clashes with England V France or I'd have gone to this. NCL missed a trick, if they could have played this game after the England V France & had them announce it in the LSV could probably have got quite a few people coming watching.

..............and play the East play off game before the England match, what a day of rugby that could have been!
