But it was exciting, adventurous and at times exhilarating Rugby League. I enjoyed it. I will readilly admit it.
Unfortunately however at 24-6 up v HKR in the Super 8 first game match, it called for up your jumper time. To continue otherwise against the Wembley Challenge Cup finalists showed arrogance at worse,naive coaching at best.
I do like young Rowley as a coach but here's a thought. If he was coaching our 1982 championship winning side, he would probably have played Des Drummond as a Scrum half, who would no doubt have used his pace and scored 3 or 4 tries as a 7 against the likes of Mansfield Marksmen as well.
