This is a must win game for Tonga or they don't qualify for the 2017 World Cup. There's no way their head coach should be playing any championship level player in that game when he has the pick of a host of SL and NRL props. Can't see Moimoi being anywhere near their training camp based on his current form - not fit enough and too old.

I've read the link - the word 'preliminary' is key in that article. I stand by my comments. I'm an NRL supporter and I know the quality of others named in that preliminary train-on squad.

So what your saying is if Fui was playing for Widnes..Thats ok to continue on international duties but not if he's a Championship player. God help the Welsh and Scots with your way of thinking.

Well I was actually referring to quality of player. IMHO, from what I've seen throughout the season, Vea, Ta'ai and Paea have been superior to Moimoi. Factor in the likes of Manu and other NRL props named in that preliminary squad and I can't see why Moimoi would make the final team based on his performances this season. But yes, I do wonder why a national coach would select a championship player if they had SL players to choose from, when the qualifiers have highlighted the gap between SL and the championship. Same goes for selecting NSW players - they're not good enough or they'd be playing NRL rugby. I realise they have to put together a squad with the best players they have available and that may be championship level players for some nations, but in Tonga's case, it appears far better players have made themselves available so why not use them for a key game. They might as well put Lauaki in there as well, just to make sure they lose.

Well hopefully you'll see Fui tomorrow answering your questions..As in quality of player.
