When I questioned the rather strange logic of banning something that releases exactly the same thing into the air that a steaming cup of tea does, he became even more aggressive and threatened to fetch his jackbooted mates over and eject me from the stadium.

There was an atmosphere emanating from the security staff from the start, they were actively seeking trouble. Those lads at the back were being a tad annoying, but did absolutely nothing that warranted the stewards moving in. Interestingly, they backed off as soon as people started filming their actions.

Put simply ground regulations now include ecigs with cigs as many places are now doing. Stewards are there to ensure rules are adhered too, regardless of what we think of an organisations logic to some of the rules. You are not going to get the rule changed while you sit there.
