Quote: charlie caroli "That's what I'm trying to say ,offloading the ball is all part of Hock's game and we have 2 forwards that can do this,as for Brierley? The guy is playing superb like a man possessed getting better every game,I love the guy, another thought from me is yesterday we played with our usual bench of 4 forwards ,yet Hock didn't return and im not sure about Jamie Acton , yet we didn't miss the 4th forward , would it not be a good idea to add Ben Reynolds to the bench ?I'm not trying to tell Rowls his job, but could be worth a try, maybe at Blackpool on a big pitch.'"
Certainly not slagging Brierley off, far from it. Just that given he's expanding his game to become a playmaker, more onus will be put on others to be on the end of offloads.
Think we've only had 4 forwards on bench twice (Yesterday, and Dewsbury I think), and had Worthington, Reynolds or Foster on bench during other games since Penky's injury. Going with a big bench was understandable yesterday, and perhaps as well given Acton and Hock didn't come back on. That said, would put Reynolds in 17 next week.
If it was up to me, would be Worthington, Reynolds and Emmitt in for Armstrong, Haggerty and Acton if they are all given bans tomorrow. Worthington to come in for Platt if Armstrong escapes a ban. Toss up between Spencer and Hock for final front row place.
