The Conference Challenge Trophy is for NCL clubs, it is optional and 32 clubs entered this year with the first round being played last weekend. 16 teams in the second round draw which takes place in Thursday, then obviously QF, SF, Final

I have said it plenty of times before, I don't know why all sides don't enter when you only get two chances of winning silverware each year

I don't know but I guess there is a fee to enter and then travelling costs could potentially add up with the wrong away tie? Maybe some clubs budgets don't stretch far enough and maybe their income streams and infrastructures aren't as good as The Miners and some other of the club's.

Does show a little lack of ambition though,success in a cup can bring it's rewards on and off the field.

Thanks. Does seem odd especially now that if you win it you get a chance at the League 1 clubs in that League 1 cup. Was a shame both amateur got such hard draws, was looking forward to seeing how they did against a lower League 1 club. Had to wait for Miners V Oxford in the Challenge Cup instead
