There are quite a few people that could let that slip if the RFL, club and player know.
Only takes for example the player to tell another player or his wife and that person to tell another and it can quickly spread. |

This thread is getting ridiculous. Reduced to accusing players of failing drug tests and their family and team mates gossiping about it! Think they deserve better than that.
No point speculating on gossip that originated from a rival teams Facebook forum.

It needs a simple statement imo, something like ''We are aware of certain rumours being spread about the club. All clubs in RL will be visited without notice for the purpose of drug testing players, our turn was 3 weeks ago. The samples take time to analyse and as yet we have not been notified of the results''
The constant accusations on social media are hacking me off and if players have been named and prove to be false they should be dealt with in court.

Don't be pathetic, it wasn't an accusation, it was an example of what could happen and that it would not necessarily be watertight.
Unlike a lot on here I don't have the unwavering belief that Leigh RL can do no wrong for which I will probably get shot down for saying. Everyone makes mistakes including us |

The problem is the rumours are saying this relates to last year and not 3 weeks ago so it would not stop them! The Fev player was from November! |

Absolutely spot on, there's no way any of this is anything other than jealous opposition fans, be the same people that are always saying we're breaking the salary cap. A rival club has been done for cheating, we've been randomly tested & what limited imagination they have (which isn't being used to dream up new clubs for Brierley to have signed for this month) has come up with this rubbish. End of. |
