Gutted, would much rather beat them at full strength than a weakened team but on the other hand atleast we don't have to deal with Rangi 'Cheapshot' Chase, no room in the game for that guy.

It's a horrendous tackle too attack the standing leg it's a career ending tackle!! They have cut down on shoulder charges very well but the cannonball is 5x more dangerous and needs stamping out the refs aren't catching it at all!! Child's didn't even notice the chase one and it was blatant'"
Just seen a clip of the Chase "tackle" for the first time.
Now, one of the first things I noticed when I came back to watching RL was this particular kind of idiocy. I asked around about it and got a mixed response. Apparently the rules state that if the knees bend the correct way then the tackle is deemed OK.
Even on hearing that I wasn't convinced. It was an accident waiting to happen. It can be used by the stupid or cowardly few. And hopefully it will be removed from the game now.
Seems like common sense has been lost a few big wigs too in RL over the years.
Unbelievable.
May main issue with "the tackle" is that, often, the attacking player is all wrapped up by 2, maybe 3, players and can't even see another defending player coming in to "fold" the legs. So if the ball carrier isn't expecting the extra tackle and doesn't know where it's coming from, then he can't respond accordingly. And especially so if the kness bend the wrong way.
If a player decides to take on the law of the game into his own hands..Then how can you stop that? The choice as always as been down to the individual.
You can ban forever more, but that doesn't educate. The education comes within the club.
