Then why derail this one with pointless negativity again?

Facts were something was being sold that wasn't yet available as it had not been offered to the current sponsor barely three weeks after the season had ended. A genuine error seized upon by certain people who have a fraction of the truth in front of them. Funny how nobody had an issue with it last season when he was the only player left without a sponsor on the eve of the season.

Would you be so angry if that sponsor wasn't a director? How would it look if we offered the shirt to someone else without speaking with 02 first?

The only reason I am replying to you on a public forum is because you are making insults to directors (plural) from the fb thing which means either me or derek. I'm not going to let my family read stuff like that when you haven't a clue what actually happened or the motives behind wanting to keep Jamie which was always to hand over to the leyther ladies as encouragement (has your leader told you I set a target of increasing our female support by 30% per year) in the hope they in turn would then support Lisa.

If you have an issue with that mish an want to turn it negative then that's a great shame.

Everyone's pounds and pennies are value the same. Whether they sponsor a sock or a stadium we do our best to make them feel valued despite the same few people from the same quarters wanting to kick us in the process.

Well you're telling half a truth there aren't you? Andy started the thread about the Banter page sponsoring 'a player' and then provided a list which he had been sent by Amanda Lee:

I totally agree that existing sponsors should be asked first but that's Amanda's fault for sending out that particular list. Everyone makes mistakes but if they weren't yet on the open market why didn't you, DB or Amanda not say so right at the beginning of the thread, explaining that they hadn't yet been offered to existing sponsors?

Instead, DB once again jumps in to try and humiliate Andy by berating him like a naughty school kid and he obviously wasn't aware of the rules himself as he then offered to 'buy' Jamie for the Banter Page whilst you took someone else. Now I don't know who you think 'my leader' is (I presume you think it's Andy) but let me assure you I'm nobody's 'yes man', I just know what's right and what's wrong, and I know that some of the stuff I've been reading over the last month or so leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

Now I'm going to split this thread so as not to disrail the sponsorship one.

I definitely think the board are doing a great job and they have my backing

i had the pleasure and displeasure of meeting both Derek Beaumont and Andy Mazey at Headingley. all i will say is one was a true gent, down to earth nice guy who was very polite and well mannered, the other was an arrogant, rude drunk who walked around like he was Don king the boxing promoter lol.

A mistake was made and they are suddenly the devil incarnate.

I have to agree with Lynda and I include Andy too. He is still very visible and still committed to supporting our great club.

I think the board are doing a great job too, I just don't like the way some are behaving. The Andy Mazey thing isn't just a one off, I've seen other references to him too and it reminds me of school yard bullying where the 'in crowd' pick on the outsider. It's just childish and unprofessional.

Whatever the facts, airing dirty linen in public is not a good idea for any club and I hoped ours was above it. It's the biggest threat to our stability going forward.

Indeed it is mate but there's only so many times you can tell someone to stop poking a stick at the dog before the dog bites back.

Very rarely do I post on here now let alone bite or get rattled,but when honesty proffesionalism integrity and motives are questioned by people who should know better given the massive sacrifices and effort we happily make for our club to succeed, then I'm going to defend not myself but our staff. Kick Amanda kick me. Kick rolls kick dukesy. Kick me kick mike. Kick mike kick des. Kick one of us and we all limp. It's what's brought success. Simple as that.

There's much more than meets the eye on many fronts but trust me we would really prefer not to get involved and retain the moral high ground but sometimes enough is enough.

That's the last I'm going to say about it because the board took an agreement on more than one occasion not to get involved in the forums etc. because it brings nothing but mither and is a place for the fans and the fans only.

Most of us stuck by that one.

And mish, one day we might have a brew and you'll be surprised at what you learn. It's all there in black and white.

I apologise to all genuine fans with genuine ambitions to help make out club be as good as it can be. Those with ulterior motives who enjoy the ride when we win but stick the boot in when something goes wonky will get found out soon enough.

Well I think that much too much has said on this subject and it should be left now for all of us.

I myself never go on Facebook or this Banter Page , but ive heard so much about this thread , which now appears to have risen on this Forum now , lets not make it into the same so-called 300 and odd posts as the Banter page .

Personally im sure other players can be sponsored , we are all committed to the same goal a successful Leigh Centurions , and should stop this points scoring of each other .
