The new structure allows for that increased investment and sees the best performing Championship clubs receive up to £750,000 per season from 2015, which will enable them to recruit a competitive squad and invest in the player development pathways needed to achieve sustained success. The top Championship clubs will also receive funding increases at the end of 2014.
I would expect the championship funding to be something like this for 2016
1) 750k
2) 600k
3) 500k
4) 450k

| With funding being decided by position within the Qualifying 8 it really makes every match in that group massive. Even if we don't make the promotion spots (which i'm confident we could) we need to finish as high as possible.
It would be devastating if we ran away with the 23 game league like this year but then a poor 7 games could see the team who finish 4th receive significantly more money if they pull off a couple of shocks.
I expect the top spots to be a lot closer next season but other than finishing in the top 2 for an extra home advantage it really is all decided in those 7 matches. Going to be exciting!!

| Quote Ganson's Optician="Ganson's Optician"London will take a few by surprise next year. It can be a tough place to go and play, their new home is brilliant and whilst few in numbers they have some of the loudest supporters in the game.
I can see some part time players struggling with the journey. However I'm not complaining, we need the first phase of the season to be as tough as possible in order to make any impact in the qualifiers.'"
London shouldnt surprise anyone given the quality of players they are signing, infact I would go so far to say they would have done a whole lot better this season if they had signed these players for this year.

Its still not set in stone and clear though and knowing the RFL the goal posts could move.
If it is as Andy Thinks then we should really finish in the top four with our squad.

| Quote Greg Florimos Boots="Greg Florimos Boots"Why would he? Its a stupid bet, now if the bet was saying Fax would finish above Dewsbury it would be a lot more interesting but you have 1 team spending close to a million pound against a team spending 300K, saying that did you help the RL come up with the new system?
'"
There is no such thing as a stupid bet the odds of Elvis being seen riding Shergar would be in the Billions , but if a Punter really thinks it will happen and puts a Quid on it then in his opinion it is a very good bet , but some would say Stupid .We all know Littlerich is a Fax follower , (I nearly called him a Fan then ) , which is why Fax and not Dews was mentioned , Greg are you familiar with the quotation "Put up or Shut up ",?It sometimes persuades folk not to make certain predictions or comparisons as Rich did regarding Leigh and our neighbours from up the road .Finally to answer your question about myself assisting the RFL with the NEW system , I cannot take any credit for this .Charles .

| Just a reminder when you say 1st in championship you rèally mean the loser of the 4th v 5th in the mini 8 league. Prize money won't be distributed as per 12 team league finish.

What matters is the people that are running the club know what we are playing with and understand the distribution and allocation of monies moving forward.
You have a downer on the RFL for some reason but our relationship has never been better with great mutual respect at senior levels and they now view Leigh Centurions as does everyone else as one of the fastest growing most progressive clubs in British RL.
Lets worry about things that we can control like gaining more sponsors, fans, more LISA members and spreading the word and let our FD look after the numbers as there is nobody better at doing so as he has proved since we took over the reigns.

Well he is the one who was questioning whether Leigh would finish in the Top 3, not me! The much higher income in 2015 on top of the already large gap in on the field performance was exactly why I set out the expectation in the first place.
I think the club has advanced enough in the last 18 months to have earned the right to expect to be a Middle 8 club and hopefully to push from there. But no room for complacency and I don't expect any of that from PR!

Having read the RFL new era article again I can only see where it says top pro forming championships teams will get extra funding up to £750'000

| Quote The Kevster!="The Kevster!"Not sure where you are coming from.
We have to finish top 4 to get in the arm wrestle with the bottom 4 SL clubs then the top 4 out of the 8 go into SL for the following season. Finishing top 4 in both formats is the aim surely.'"
The Watcher needs some clarification of the format of the league of 8, he understands that the top 4 of Leighs league will combine with the bottom 4 of SL 2015 & play a 7 game league, at the end of that "mini league" do the top 3 get automatic promotion back to SL 2016 whilst the 4th & 5th positioned clubs have a play off for the 4th promotion slot. Or is it a straight top 4 go into SL 2016?
