It seems London are recruiting well for next season , as they have signed Richie Mathers from Wakey , and Lowton lad Luke Adamson from Fax ,though im not a fan of Adamson and we are well off for Back Rowers anyway .I think some fans are discounting London from being a threat to us for next season , but I think they will be up challenging for the Top 4 spots ,they may lose a few players to SL , but I think they are getting a decent squad together as are Bradford which we all knew they would do .

I still think we are light a couple of Quality players yet for next season , but its early days and I have faith in PR and our BOM to come up with something or somebody ,a friend of mine who is close to the Fev Chairman has told me a couple of Fevs targets for next season , and if Fax secure 2nd spot this season they also will be a big threat next year , all in all making it a very good year next year ,IMO maybe show around 4-6 players the door and bring 2-3 Quality players in and Leigh will be OK .Charlie knows .

You beat me to it charlie. Mathers would of been a good buy, but either rowls dont rate him, or london appealed to him more. You would have to be an idiot to dismiss london next season. Its already building up to being a super competitive league next season.

Why, Mathers seems like a good solid pro, a bit past his best but would have brought plenty of experience to the squad. Not saying I would have signed him but he's no mug

One of the main reasons London have been so poor this season is their financial troubles preventing them form having much of a preseason, being relegated so early on gives them allot of time to prepare for next; no doubt they'll be much better. Same with Bradford, their difficulties have been with their finances which are now solved, they'll be much better next year too. Still think we'll do better than Londonand beat Bradford next season though, asbetter as they'll be, going full time so will we.

They have to get 'back in' the league that they were placed in by the RFL, at the 1st attempt. No parachute payment next season, so it's do or die for them in 2015.

There may not be an official 'parachute payment' but the funding to the relegated SLE clubs will still be in far excess of the others in the league, plus London have a London Weighing allowance on top of the RFL/SKY money.

We have Mc Nally, Brierley and Platt who can cover FB, so why even consider him, irrespective of his ability - thats why I found it amusing

Nossy one of my thoughts was , you found this amusing and granted we have cover at Full-Back , but would you have had the same opinion if the Club had just announced we have signed him ?As what happened with Platt .

Platt is a far more versatile signing who can cover Full back, wing and centre, funny how Wakey said they couldnt afford Mathers but London can??

To be honest I think you, Bradford and London will all be spending more on wages next year than Wakey.
