The women who gave him first aid were Jane and my wife Anne. Hope the guy is OK. Eagles fans have a Facebook page Sheffield Eagles RLFC Supporters if you have any news I'm sure everyone would be grateful if you'd put something on there.

Needless to say everyone's thoughts from the Eagles are with Stephen. Praying he pulls through.

I can’t say how bad I feel at hearing this about Ste, I was too upset to post yesterday, knowing only too well what he and his family are going through and how they must be feeling at this moment, my son had a major heart issue earlier this year, thankfully he’s slowly returning to a something like a normal life, things like this shouldn’t happen to people so young.

Come on Ste you can do this. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

If those of you who are close to the family, would kindly keep us informed it would be appreciated and also if any of the family wish to talk to people who’ve been/going through it please drop me a pm and I’ll give you my number to pass on.

I've had a message from Michael, Ste's brother, to ask me to post on here to thank everyone for their very kind thoughts and wishes. We should hopefully have an update later this afternoon.
