Feel for Dave. Really nice guy who genuinely wanted to kick start a revival of the first team but can't do it by himself.
I hope he stays involved in the game because he's too good of a man, ex player and coach to lose all together.

Keith, you are one of the last people I know who would do the things Jim accused you of and anybody who knows you would concur with this.I can understand how upset you must be after all the time and effort you put in at the East and can only say at present your health and family are more important than anything and thats were you need to concentrate your time and energy.

Hi Keith
I was first a leigh junior then eventually had the pleasure of wearing the black n red of east, although it's 20+ years ago. I remember how much you did for the club back then and also vividly remember how much of a family club it was and how first team would give advise n support. These truly were inspirational to the youngsters. Sadly those days are far away and I believe the club now more than ever needs to get back to basics before it is to late, you and Janet don't have all the answers but Christ almighty it needs solidarity. I was only a member at East for a season after Keith left. It was apparent at the time that things were not going smoothly.
It's a shame that ego's are tearing apart a once great club.
Keith, if they would let you help then I'm sure you would. You love the club and the things it does for the town. However, we understand now that you're not in a position to fight the battle and you should concentrate on your own battles and making sure you're there for your family. I sincerely hope you win your fight for health, you're someone that I have had a lot of respect for through the years.
As for Leigh East - if the committee can start acting with at least as much maturity as their U7's team, then there may be a chance to right the listing boat.

I can safely say with the utter ignorance and lack of respect being shown by these people who are so called in charge of the club, Players and parents are ready to walk away, these people who are threatening to walk away if people come back are making the place about as welcoming as auschwitz |
