Train to Newton-le-Willows then taxi to the LSV. The 34 bus to Leigh from Newton doesn't run on Sundays. Unfortunately if you don't want to catch the 28 bus there's not really any alternative to get to Leigh by public transport.

Only be about a fiver each in a taxi if you can get a couple of others, that's what we ended up doing for the first World Cup game at the HJ (mainly because we had horrendous hangovers from the day before at Cardiff and a long bus journey would have tipped us over the edge).
