Oh well in that case if you go to Leigh town centre there are two great pubs on either side of the Bus Station and real ale at less than £2 a pint.
Takes me 10 minutes to walk from there to the LSV. One does food too.

I would use the Whistling Wren . Only 200 yards from the turnstiles. ( I also have shares in Marstons Brewery! )

The Robin Hood does nice food, two meals for a tenner the beer is good but a bit on the expensive side £3 for a pint of lager for instance, nice walk through the Country Park towards the stadium, perhaps 25 mins. As previously mentioned The Whistling Wren is virtually outside the turnstiles, nice food in there too, nice beer garden if a nice day. Park Inn ok too. Town Centre pubs - there are plenty- a good place to watch the earlier matches is the George and Dragon in the town centre - 15-20 minutes walk from the ground- nice atmosphere in there but no food.
