I don't watch as many Leigh games as you but I think your being really unfair to Ridyard who is a very capable kicker at goal and in general play. To be calling for a new kicker for missing 2 or 3 touchline conversions is ridiculous !! Maybe the nerves and tension of sunday got to him a little bit because scoring 3 tries to 1, should have really won you the game. even though I think Batley deserved it on the day. The Battle between Moore & Ridyard was always going to be key due to the conditions and I guess due to some poor discipline Moore was given several opportunities to kick goals that he will slot over all day long, whilst ridyard didn't take his opportunities.

The opportunities presented to Moore were also 'easier' than those that fell to Ridyard. (although Moore's conversion of Bretherton's try was brilliant - just as was Ridyard's from Higson's try)

we lost not because riddy missed the kicks but because some of our players deemed it necessary to kick the opposition in the stomach and other activities that were more about roughing rather than playing rugby and winning the game.
when we played rugby Batley really struggled to get through (hence 1 try and a corker of an effort at that). Just gave up stupid penalties.
Overall though Batley deserved their victory and we need to reset this week to set ourselves up for a positive season in 2014.

Correct and that is why I am stating that the original post was a totally unfair and an inaccurate dig at someone who has been your go to player all season on a consistent basis, simply based on the final result.
