Barlow's a player that opossing teams love to hate for his playing prowess & his tendancy to wind teams & fans up. It's going to be strange for me cheering Sam on but he's a Leyther now so welcome on board.

When we played Fax a few weeks back I spoke with Paul after the game and it was his belief had Barlow been in the Fax team they would have beaten us that night as he has great footwork and strength and with the amount of repeat sets they had but couldn't break us he would have been the man to break our line.

Once the story is out it's out and I think he's being a bit silly by denying it. I believe Mark Taylor broke the news on Twitter after his interview with Paul Rowley.

Personally I don't think it should have been announced till after the playoffs, not that I'm bothered about the reaction from other clubs, I'm just bothered about the effect it will have on Sam and his relationship with our club.

However, he should now just admit that he's signed.

Well he is a prop! Maybe he is living up to the stereotype and didn't realise that the piece of paper he signed with the heading "contract" meant he was signing for leigh. Added to the fact he's a Yorkie then you begin to understand why he's a bit confused.

Might be something to do with the fact he has still a year to run on his Fax contract , his Club have now announced he does not figure in Faxs` plans next year , total disrespect towards your Club if you ask me.
Would have been better to have kept his own council on this one till after the play offs.

My only issue with him is his discipline. Hopefully he will mature under PR and become a great forward, he has all the attributes to be a great player.

Well he wants to progress why would he want to play for a pit village team with no possibility of ever getting better than they are now.
