I first saw Latics in 1983 because it was my job to be there. They were 4th division and pulling in somewhere close to what we pull in for our home games now.
I know for sure my best mate was there as he's been a season ticket holder since they were amateurs. Yesterday I jumped off the couch and cheered when they put in the late goal. I cheered for my mate and everyone who believed in the underdogs. As Steve said earlier, I only hope we can rise from where we are now to something similar.
