Not really a very nice comment that and drags Steve's integrity into question.

I have a personal message on my phone from Steve setting out his reason for leaving and also and i Quote " My time at Swinton has been brilliant".

Comments like the one you have put serve no real purpose.

Just ignore him Marshy, he seems to enjoy being nasty....his post about shootings in Whitehaven was crass beyond belief.

Joanne , believe me Detriotsoul is NOT a nasty bloke , he wears his heart on his sleeve , and i know how much he regretted that Whitehaven comment ,he didnt mean it to come out as it did .

I have known him for many years , a Leyther through and through , not a nasty bone in his body .

A good coach is steve ,did us more than once when it mattered at Widnes ,besy wishes for the future to Him

Of course, it is correct that Steve could probably find a better club than Swinton - there are 19 clubs in pro RL, along with some other clubs who serve as part time reserve sides to some of the 19 independant clubs. If Steve came back to club coaching in RL, he's good enough to make the step up from reserve grade coaching at Swinton to first team again at one of the 19 independant RL clubs.


But far more importantly than that, I hope Steve can resolve his personal issues and get things back on track for himself. Hope it works out.

Great bloke with great rugby knowledge and attuitude. He certainly knew how to take a joke and a wind up!!

Been unfortunate at times in his career but hope he has success with Scotland and is back in the game at our level very soon
