| The club were coached last season by Gary Grainey who has led the team on the field to relegation from the top tier,
The club committee has rewarded that achievement with a renewed coaching appointment for the 2013 season which has led to a mass resignation of the open age team including notable players such as Danny Kilshaw, Carl Redford and John Taylor.
Players who have East running through their blood who would not have come to that decision lightly.
Throw in further actions from the commitee which resulted in sanctions imposed from the league that now finds the club starting life in the third tier of amateur rugby,
Speak to any member of the open age team and It's fair to say that club is on it's knees. So much so my nephew is now starting his rugby career as a young Leigh Miners Ranger.
It's sad what is going on there with all the in fighting.

| With thriving teams from 7s to 18s the club is hardly on its knees, the first team has virtually disappeared but I think you are a bit premature with you message of doom.

| Well perhaps so in the context of the club running youth teams, however speak to many of the stalwarts who have departed the scene and it's undeniable the club has big problems.
Ask yourself why the open age team has all but disappeared? An open age team that swept all before it and cleaned up not a couple of years ago?
A visit to their forum may give a brief insight.
