I just read that post back and depressed myself- what I'm trying to say is that if we're all hoping to watch a team of young Leythers win the GF, attract another 2000 fans, have no interference from any other club and then be granted a licence on a silver plate then we're all delusional. Alternatively if Wigan twin with us then the worst that could happen is we get some talented Wigan lads- I didn't here anyone complain about the dual regs not having any attachment to the club last year - I thought the likes of Laithwaite and Spencer, for example, did us proud this season. We need to focus on building a strong squad capable of winning games and attracting more fans and I for one think Wigan can only help us to do that. I'm sure many other people disagree but that's just my thoughts. icon_wink.gif

been around here long time, thought would start posting...........:Others/grunt.gif

super league players WILL count towards the Championship clubs salary cap. This will be on a sliding scale depending on what the player earns, between £500 and £2000 per player per game. This will not be paid by the club, but will in effect be a reduction in the cap for the Championship team. So having 5 DR players in your championship team for 10 games will reduce the clubs cap by a minimum of £25000!!

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg

and....the salary cap we worked to last year was just above the championship 1 maximum....and we still wupped your backsides....how many times was it?

We could have UPTO 5 DR or loan players stated by PR last night. I am sure Fax are not going to take any loans or DR next season. It also looks like use of loan players or even twinning which we haven't officially done won't count against any SL application in 2014/15. The reason, I reckon we will have two leagues of 10 so as long as you are in the top 6 at the end of 2014 it could be that you will be in SL2.

Well I doubt there will be any Championship side spending anywhere near the salary cap this season.

Leigh have more contracted players than last season so I doubt it will impact on any Championship club never mind ours.

Franchising is surely in its' death throes and I am confident P & R will be back next season.

Maybe our pro game can swiftly recover from this ludicrously self evident'doomed to failure' idea of licenscing which has done great harm to our game.

Clear statement of intent by KF at the Forum, and change is in the RFL air at present.

Good. However, as anyone at Red Hall will tell you, the Game's governing body, (i.e. the RFL) has only got one vote in Sooper Dooper League Europe. That would suggest that, it's whatever the SL clubs vote for, that will be the way forward. Of course, all it needs is a few of those turkeys to vote for Christmas, eh? icon_wink.gif
