| I was talking more about future signings from this 18s team.
Sadly they only have one more game left and that is away at Keighley midweek. I think its 25th July at Cougar Park. I will confirm and let you know.

| anyone know if the club has plans for a reserve team next season? notice that Featherstone run scholarship and academy and play against the super league club at 15's, 16's and 18's. why dont leigh do this? im sure there any more than enough quality players in leigh to field teams and be competitive

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Didn't have the cash plus in some age groups weren't allowed by the RFL.....I stand to be corrected however

| It does indeed cost a fortune to run a scholarship. This budget at rovers I believe to be ringfenced and protected from other aspects at the club. Events to raise money for the scholarship are held separately and that money is used soley to finance the junior teams with no financial input from the RFL.
Running 15's, 16's, 18's, 23's, women, tag and disabled along with the first team is a massive cost to any club. I would have thought that this season Leigh were absolutely correct to abstain this year. However, with a greater budget available next year it would be fabulous to see junior/23's running out in Leigh colours again
