The guys did us proud on Friday just a shame that the scoreline didn't more closely reflect the match we watched!!
A couple of the Leeds tries were definitely questionable from where I was stood in the North stand - clear forward pass. As for our disallowed try on half time couldn't call it myself from the North stand but the players reaction spoke volumes about what they thought and my sister got a txt straight away from a Leeds fan in the south stand who said it was a definite try.
Also can somebody shed some light on our second try that was disallowed - we were penalised for retaliation but my understanding from the people around me was the Bailey threw the first punch so the penalty should the penalty not gone our way? This is similar to an incident that went against us last season and resulted in the opposition getting 8 points!! as went against us last year !! the try stands, followed by conversion followed by the penalty goal!!
This would have resulted in a 26-48 scoreline which I feel is a truer reflection of the match and the performance the lads gave!!!
Well done to the team and the fans left the ground on a high thanx to all
PS hubby has just come up with a good question - why in football can a linesman spot a player offside from a 40 yard pass but in rugby a linesman can not spot a forward pass straight in front of him???? I do question why they are there - maybe I should take it up seems like easy money to me!!!
