Did you actually read any of the Touchdown Club literature before you joined? To question this now when they appear to have delivered everything they said they would is totally unfair. If you have any feedback then contact them direct but to come on here and sound off after the event defies belief.

| Maybe the service could be offered at a small cost to others, Club get a phone contract with unlimited texts and charge a few quid, a season to sign up it, could make a bob or two for them?

| Like I offered Lynda, I don't mind gathering a load of email addresses and then all it would need is to be sent on matchday as the text is.
I actually think a Leigh Centurions app will be the way forward in the future, which when I speak to the club i'll offer to create for them, but I think the new website is the priority.

Sorry Jonny - in the midst of trying to answer other points, I missed that one - and a very interesting one it is. I can only think of one reason - but don't know whether it's the right answer!
There is a Gold + package, whereby Gold members bring along someone else. I wonder if they are the people who are getting the texts, that you refer to? If not, I can't think why anyone else should be getting this perk.
Over to the Touchdown club.
By the way, thanks for the offer of trying to help with email addresses. My point is still the same - it will take more generous offers to make it work.

we have been saying for ages the club need a database. selling tickets we should take name/address. Maybe start at the next fans forum, that could be 100 or so easily.

| I get lots of emails from the club isn’t this system already up and running?
When the young glows where at Bedford we use to get text messages, reminding us about allsorts, Parents Evenings, Your child needs to revise for such and such exam next week, Half term next week, Your Child is not in school today  etc. No idea what the costs where, or what system they use.
