Agree that some seem to rejoice more in failure than success, however i'm not that way inclined and only want the club to thrive. Equally I welcome new ideas being put out there provided they are directed at the right target market without in any way conflicting with the existing customer base and can be seen to generate additional revenues into the club.

Unless we call time on this brain dead initiative we are going to cost ourselves thousands on the year - the forums have made it clear that a neutral position is a crowd of 1,800 which must factor in people paying at pre initiative prices. This must increase that number and furthermore alienates your walk up Leigh fan in having to pay significantly more than away supporters.

I really don't care whose idea this was, if the decision makers still believe this can work however, then god help us. It won't stop me attending but fear there is a significant number who it will.

It must be terribly frustrating for folk who offered but were ignored, I know at least two fans with skill sets I believe are beyond those currently being used who fall into that category. I know one of them detailed an affordable concept to drive brand and income, whilst developing a real community feel again.
It's fantastic that the club have such a wealth of talent to hand that such proven people are surplus to requirements.

Not everyone will agree with everything all of the time, but everyone claiming to have the clubs interests at heart should be prepared to back it through the gate at least.

wake up seriously!! last night our crowd was down by nearly 300 on the exact same game as last season!

we need 1800 average to break even our average so far is 1632

on last nights game compared to last year we are down by £4550 approx (yes i have done the maths)

of this £4550 we lost £200 due to the let ST holders from other clubs in for £10 idea

Over pricing for the product we offer will kill our club the sooner we realise that the more chance we have of staying in alive!

The key word is value, how do we ensure fans go home feeling they have had value from their experience, win lose or draw.
The negative side of the LSV experience is the lack of game day provided, in the past they met before and after in the MM bar, in summer they had a beer on the terrace after a game as the kids played on the pitch etc
We need to bring back that community feel, we need to focus on our low hanging fruit more.

We could always pull a gate in for the biggies at HP pre 2004 though eg Wigan and Salford CC, Widnes and Oldham play offs etc, and lets face it LSV is slightly better to watch the game in especially on a wet day.

I think the point Saley2 is missing with his current obsession is that this isn't the only thing going on at the club. Plans and dates are already in place for match day events which will be taking place during the season, aimed at encouraging parents to bring their children etc. In fact there's a whole host of events planned all with the sole aim of getting LOCAL people interested in watching the Centurions and hopefully getting a better match day experience in return.

I think that by now we all get the point being made and it's getting a bit tedious, going round and round and round and round and.....

Probably The only time we've looked like a sl club,the problem is how do we replicate the feel good factor that the club had in the early 2000s
