Quote Starbug="Starbug"Wether LISA has a shareholding or not, what is more important is access to the financial situation at the club at any given time and that best use of LISA donations is being made,
In recent years LISA has had 2 functions, 1 raising of money to help with signing and paying of players , 2 a communication channel between the club and its supporters
With the current administration and the openness of the fans forums, the communication aspect is now less relevant, hopefully the FF s will continue, albeit with less frequency meaning the club is on a more stable footing
Therefore LISA s main concern will be to continue to find new ways of raising money, continuing the current endevoures and attempting to increase membership
Even though we all support the club and may well be members of LISA, everyone one of us will have different ideas on how the club should operate, I myself have beliefs that the club isn't ready for SL and should not apply until it is, how would that opinion fit in with other LISA members if say I was to be the appointed ' LISA ' director?
Similarily if it is an ' ideas ' person, why would they need LISA affiliation? , if you have an idea that you think can benifit the club, it has been thought through, and you can implement it or help the club implement it, contact the BOD or Trevor direct, there is no need to be associated to LISA for that
It is an independant body, with the rights to give or withold money to the club as it sees fit , it should remain that way IMO
If Sporting Club Leigh wished to give the LISA organisation an honorary shareholding in recognisition of its contribution to the club over many years, that would be fine, and perhaps a good idea'"
Completely agree with that one. As you say, there is certainly no problem with communication from the current board and it's hard to see what can be brought to the table by someone who, first and foremost, would be there as LISA's representative and therefore having to shoulder the responsibility of the membership which I would expect to be a huge burden when added to the existing pressure of being a board member.
