Ok so we have look at the accounts and we see we have no assetts to speak off and that our current Directors are unpaid. We find out the total staff wage bill and how much we pay and get from the RFL. I just don't think a shareholder could gleen anything worthwhile from pouring over the balance sheet.

We are members of LISA first and foremost to keep our club afloat and I for one applaud our current Board who have managed to see that this club is still in existence.

It was said, that it was a share and a seat on the board, which is fantastic, however we will not be privy to how much the players wages are and whether the cleaner has been paid.
The club have told the fans about the finances anyway at the fans forums, so they are being open and honest. Its all about trust and the club becoming run professionally that counts.
Obviously there are people out there that are members, that would not be suitable and we don't really need for them to be vetted by the club, our own membership would know this and vote the best person in to do the job.

Are we now saying that LISA is to move away from it's original concept of and become a real shareholder and board member. Lets just say that the LISA board member disagrees with the rest of the board. He or she puts the disagreement to the LISA members who also vote in favour of the disagreement. Lets also say that the only action that maybe left to LISA in order to lever their position is to withdraw their funding. The rest of the board will just vote the LISA director off the board because they are only in that position because of the money that is coming into the club via them. LISA to my knowledge are not shareholders and to become shareholders it will mean LISA taking a completely new direction.
The other thing is that if I were Keith, Phil or Trevour and after all the graft I had put in to keep the club going, I was suddenly confronted with weekly or maybe daily clashes with a board member put there by LISA. I would turn my phone off pack my bag and hand the books over to that member and tell them to run the club. The LISA board member will have to sign a confidentiallity clause also so that every little detail of what happens in the board room is not tranmitted to every single LISA member. It would be a nightmare for the present board if every little argument that happened there, suddenly finds it's way on here. There are loads of scenarios that could happen with this that could wreck all the fantastic work that has been done to save this club. This is something that needs to be thought about very carefully and not have people calling for more power than LISA can handle or really deserve.

As you said it does have pros and cons and of course certain things would be confidentual and I would presume that if the LISA director wasn't doing the job correctly they could be voted off by the members. I cant see the Lisa board member having any clashes, to be honest we have already in the past attended board meeting s after being invited by the board to ask any questions, so its not something new and we can still ask to attend now, ask the members question or concern, so that doesnt change anything really.

I was just putting the worse case scenario forward Lynda. It would be a disaster for yours, the boards, the team, the coaching staff and all the fans hard work to be trashed by this.

If LISA has been offered a place at the table then it is LISA that picks the new member and the Board should accept the decision.
