Hi,

I'm currently trying to find information on Fred Harris who played for Leigh in 1934. Fred was a relative of mine so I'm trying to find any possible info on his time at Leigh and also photographs. Can anyone help?

Fred Harris - Generally rated one of the finest centres to play Rugby League. Signed for Leigh Nov 1, 1931 from Westleigh Recs. Sold to Leeds in 1935. Played 140 games for Leigh (a poor side then!) scored 46 tries and was selected for England. In 1936 selected for GB Tour to Australia. Only played 1 game and was injured, but still scored 2 tries. Pictures in Mike Latham's Leigh "histories" - and also Great Britain Tours - 75 years by Roland Davis. (handsome lad!)

Leigh Library??

Its about time the Leigh books were updated. I think they're something like 20 years behind now. I have all 3 of the ones released in the 1990's and the last one was in 1994 with the other 2 being 1990 and 1991 I think. A lot has happened since then and it would be nice to see an updated copy of them.
