When you say reboot using boot device, do you mean so it'll boot up from the CD? If this is the case, you should press F12 when restarting and choose boot from CD from the boot device menu.

I don't understand what bit me and that's just it u need to install the cd to set up the monitor it's not the computer

You should need a Cd for a monitor, well not a standard one . What's the model of the monitor ?

For the monitor you should be able to put in a VGA/hdmi/dvi cable from the base unit to the montor. The monitor should auto detect a signal
