Depends how you define 'the top'.

If it's the chairman you are referring to, the simple, brutal truth is, that without Keith Freer's considerable input, during this crisis, we wouldn't be having this dialogue now - the club would be dead.

If it's the CEO you are getting at, he has been instrumental in getting a team together, off the pitch (and on it, too) to ensure this club has the chance of a future.

Both unpaid I might add too.

Just to clear this up cos i'm not bothered one way or the other but a former director told me freer charges for his services, if thats the case then he's not unpayed.

No he doesn't , what he did do was take a shareholding and a directorship in lieu of his services , however after 9 years I'd suggest we've had our monies worth out of him



Most clubs have a solicitor on the Board , I'd guess most are personally unpaid , but might actually charge for some aspects of work done through their ' practice ' as their partners might be a tad upset if their staff were doing stuff unpaid for a sports club they perhaps couldn't care less about

No idea , then again I didn't know Karen was a RL fan , let alone an expert at disciplinary matters

Yes I knew she was helping out Keith , I do know Karen , she dealt with our house move last year , just didn't know she was an expert on RL disciplinary matters

Solicitors don't usually submit their bill until they have completed their work. I hope you have it in writing that they won't charge you, or three years work = tens of thousands in a bill that lands on the door mat!
