I believe our coach had a watertight contract and could only leave with our permision.Being paraded in a Cas scarf was another stupid move by the club, do the deal and announce it after the season or at least stop him being dressed in Cas colours for the cameras. I cant recall Rhino in a Fax shirt whilst Batley were in the comp.

We have so much to look forward to next year the big money for our level paid to Basil, Bibey, Paul, Hill, Higson, Maden, Duffy will not be hanging around our necks, yes we are still stuck with PR's contract but I understand some £200k was tied up with these and we can fill the gaps at less than 50% of the cost imho.

We will have a club next year but we now need to be open, really open with the fans because it will be the fans who ensure survival as I understand the white knight is no more.

We can run a very competitive team next year, the revenue gap can be overcome but we need action now.

Bad management, it's a miracle we won the NR cup mainly due to amazing man management. You have a group of players who have to forget about winning bonuses. Would you be happy going to work tomorrow not getting what you earned.

Unfortunately our season got derailed when AT business went under, since then Ian and the players have been amazing.

Too many injured players trying to keep us going today with no real go forward.

I feel Ridy and Ellis form dipped when Robbie returned.

All things said amazing season with us winning the best competition. It's evident we aren't really taking these play offs seriously ever since they mean nothing!!!!

Certainly did Widnes no harm not getting to a GF, I'm off to load up the national lottery website I could be the new owner tomorrow night!!

He may have only lost 4 games but two of them were the most important! we needed money for next season from the G/F. and i still say he let us down AGAIN!

Rhino is a man with principles and even though our fans were asking for the name of the new coach he refused to be named till after Batley left the Comp` .Also Rhino would not be wearing a Fev shirt as he`s signed for Fax and we are very glad to have him.

I've watched Leigh on & off for nearly 60 years. In that time the club has limped from one crisis to another. Quite often they have collapsed just before the end of the season. Coaches have walked out and Chairmen have left at short notice.
This present crisis is possibly the worst I've witnessed and I fear for the clubs future. Whether a new chairman & coach are found is anybody's guess. However it appears that with only 1800 fans prepared to attend then the public of Leigh do not care if the club exists or not.
A sad day for Leigh RLFC.
