At first I did think the Bonus point system would make for some entertaining Rugby to be played in the last 10-15mins. But when you look at Super league Teams rushing to form scrums to stop the clock in the last 5-10mins with obviously no chance of catching the win it made me realise that (has been stated above) that our players are proffesional enough to play out any game with the same intensity and the bonus point is basically rewarding a losing side for effort.

And if you look at it on the other side of the fence. If you say that one team was winning by 16 points with 5 mins to go (in effect 3 tries) you would assume that that team was confident of winning that game. Does that team now have a mentality of "we have won this now" and any incentive to keep out the other team in scoring at all costs which in effect would get them the bonus point. Or even things like the coach bringing players off to protect them for the next round. Quite a few different scenarios here to give the other team an opportunity to get the bonus point.

So am i in favour NO.

maybe they should add a bonus poit to the winner if the beat a team by a clear 30 points, reward good winning just as much as good losing.

We haven't got any bonus point and neither have Fev.

I hated it at first but then if they got rid of it i would miss Starbug's signature post.

This year I wouldn't have been happy with any bonus points , next season however

Not sure I like the bonus point ,York have won more games than Hunslet yet are beneath them in table ,that can't be right surely

Rules are rules , as long as we all play to the same from the start , who cares
