Canada v Jamaica
Kick off 3-30pm (8-30pm UK) Sunday 31st July
Toronto
Tomorrow Canada Wolverines will take on the reggae boys of Jamaica with the Wolverines hoping to gain their first ever win.
A few of the boys are Scarborough Centurions including Matt Gleed who played his first ever rugby league game in April of this year.
We have been training extensively over the last few months and the standard of rugby league has vastly improved to a level that I'm confident for a Canada win tomorrow.
The game will be filmed for Setanta TV as we have a weekly programme called The Rugby League Show. I will do my best to get some highlights on youtube for those who want to watch.
The game is the official sport of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival so we are hoping for a decent crowd.
Apologies for the late posting but as you can imagine I have been so busy picking the Jamaicans up from the airport and running them to and from the training ground. Plus preparing the Canadian guys for tomorrow.
Leigh will be well represented tomorrow with Mapleyther - Canadian Team Manager, fellow leyther Paul Byrne - Match Official and myself - Assistant Coach.
I will post the result asap with pictures and the game report to follow (hopefully when I recover from my celebration hangover).
