| With Robbie Hunter-Paul retiring Leigh will "hopefully" have a substantial slug of cash. Now i personally hope they keep that money to one side and look for another player looking to drop down the leagues.
Now with that in mind and the fact he professes his love for Mr. Millwarrd all over his book i think that player could be Sean Long. Yes his knees are shot and hes always getting hurt but remember Hunter-Paul has come back to fitness for the business end of the season and is playing great.
From reading a twitter update last night i understand Long was at the Gala Dinner, thus bringing in my "reading to much into it" title.
Is this the thinkings of a delusional Leigh fan or do any of you out there think this is a possibility, or if not any other "older" players we may look at?

| I don't really see the point of getting sean long in TBH, we aren't going anywhere for the next few years and if we do get the nod next time around, lonmg would be long gone! I would much rather see us bring a young player through (Scott O'Brian if his trial goes well) Ridyard has learnt a lot from Millward, RHP and even Watson during his time here, so why not 'hand the baton' to Ridy to bring on O'Brian after all Ridyard is one of the most consisitent half backs in this division also, with our financial problems, why take a massive risk on an over the hill injury prone has been like Long??
And about RHP has he said what he is doing next year? I know hes retiring from the playing side but is he staying in hte game as a coach? If so, would like to see him in the coaching staff at Leigh, hes a top professional who can help with his experience through coaching

| I don't think for a minute that Long would fit anywhere near our wage structure.

| Who knows what funds will be available come the end of the season. That will depend on who is the owner.
One thing for sure Sean Long would be a world class signing. I did ask Sean on GMR 2 weeks ago and whilst not directly saying no he did say he would staying in SL.
My guess Widnes or Salford

Others/NA.JPG
I reckon Salford's fans are the friendliest i've come across and haven't got a bad word to say about them[/quote:inve33bl][/size:inve33bl]
Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |
