Seriously you are more than welcome to stay a while - why don't you introduce yourself and make a contribution of some sort.

The problem with messageboards is that people forget that they really operate a bit like mates in a pub. Imagine if you walked into a pub you have never been in, found a group of lads and with no introduction ask them a question about the length if the Great Wall of China or suchlike - see what reaction you get. Why people think they can do this in this kind of t'internet context beats me, unless they are deliberately trying to wind someone up...

I don't know if they are genuinely concerned or not. Who knows what peoples intentions are? For all we know swintonlions may have had the intention to donate a bit of cash to our cause, but given the bad reaction to a harmless question, they may well be thinking 'why the hell should I?'

I just think that if people are serious about raising cash in order to keep the club alive, then a friendlier attitude to whatever folk might wander onto this forum might help a little bit.
