With all due respect Fred, I thought the same, but we have 5 or 6 reserves who around first team squad who can make the step uP and I don't want their path blocked by Players who view us as a feeder club.

| and if they are good enough (in the head coaches eyes) he will give them that chance dual regs or not but to have players with the 'pedigree' 'work ethics' and talent of Blythe, McCarthy, Mitchell, etc.. at hand is an awsome tool to have, and after all he is a big big fan of the dual system so who am I to argue (he wins most of them anway - but only cause I let him to make him feel good  ) |

Last year Tyrone was without doubt the least effective of our Dual reg players , he seemed disinterested at times and you got the feeling he didn't want to be here and also not sure what his best position was
However this season , he has been much better , it might be a case of him thinking that because he was still on dr with us , if he doesn't get his finger out he might end up permenantly here , so much better this year , he should go well at Wakey |

After watching the game again on Blip i thought Ty McCarthy was outstanding and brought another dimension
to Leighs play with his angled runs and aggressive play boy i wish we had him for the season hes improved
100% + since last year............. I can see what Smith n Millward see in him now hes defo one for the future
gonna be a great player in SL in the years to come..

Thought McCarthy was one of the best players in one of the best team displays for a long time. Think he played the full 80 and looked as strong in the last minute as he did at kick off.
Sorry to see him go but hope he takes his chance at Wakefield
