I thought Jonathon Pownall had a great game when on the field, dealt with high balls brilliant and ran the ball back in like a seasoned Full Back, Donlan better be careful his Full Back position will be under threat when Pownall gets some game time behind him. also Thought Local lad Adam Clay had a solid game for Salford aswell. and also Nicholson played really well him and Duffy linked up really well.

Great result. To beat a full time SL team is a really good achievement. I thought Ridyard, Nash and Meekin were particularly good.

Plenty of local lads on show for both sides!! Great to see! Duffs and Nico is gunna be some partnership when the get firing, we just need some more ideas in attack and to make the most of field position. Riddy needs to get to Harriers as well!

I've heard no one mention Bibey's contribution today,I was his biggest critic last season because he used to walk with the ball in hand but not today. He ran hard & made metres all I wanted him to do last season was run with the ball & he did with great impact like I knew he was capable of

Agreed. Even a couple of players in support might have meant a quick play the ball and a waltz over the line. Great run from Riddy though and he did well to get as far as he did considering he had two tacklers on his tail for at least 30m.

Riddy must be our fastest back, deserved a try for the effort. In Sl it would have been finished off by a winger and would've been the try of the season. None of our wingers were within 20 yards of him when he got tackled. If he'd have gone low 5 yds from line he's have slid over and scored one of the best tries at the LSV. He'll be the player of the season for me now he's fully fit.

Originally Salford speccies were to be in South Stand but a series of frozen pipes and various other weather initiated issues meant that they were instead seated in West South.
