Shame really - by all accounts the lad had a devestating turn of speed (could have become the Offiah of his day) - but a naive country boy, who was not 'looked after' when brought over from rural Sth Africa, and got involved in the drinking culture of 70's RL players. Result - one ruined career, and a lifetime spent on skid row!!
