I did hear the game was played in Neath for some reason (may be some commitment that was made when they left South Wales) - a disappointing crowd but perhaps not too surprising when you consider that their original fanbase must have felt let down (again) by the move...
Makes me think why move it then? Maybe Max Boyce was there and wanted to explain the rules to the folk down there who find RU a spectator sport. Poor souls.
I don't think we should bag the crowds at other clubs. Were are supposed to be a rugby league town and we aren't setting any crowd records - even with a winning team. Let's focus on building Leigh RL and avoid carping about the negatives elsewhere.
Even with a team getting tatered practically every game we did better than that when we where in what was then Superleague. AND still do despite playing friendlies every game.
