Leyther till death thanks for your response - The reason I've requested this is that I don't want to make any false allegations. Some other individuals became involved in the spitting incident at the end of the game. A review of the CCTV may hopefully highlight the individuals concerned. The lad in the pink shirt is just a point of reference in the photo at this stage unless witnesses or cctv evidence prove otherwise. However I believe some other 'fans' became involved in the spitting incident. Hope this answers your question fairly. edit x1 for clarification

Unfortunately the LSV stewards should have dealt with the problem but failed to take appropriate action. If fans hadn't raised this issue on the forum the individuals concerned would probably get away with it. In the absence of numbered rows/aisles, identifying the individuals concerned would be difficult after the event. In hindsight the police should have been notified at the time, but the LSV staff should have done this. The pictures posted have provided an opportunity to identify the position in the ground and now the relevant investigations can take place. Nobody has asked for names to be posted on here just that statements of the incident/Positive ID's be passed to Greater Manchester Police/ LSV/ Clubs. Maybe, now that the photo is on here, simply lock this thread and let the individuals who know who they are to contact the appropriate authorities and point them out that way. We've pretty much sussed it's mainly 3 people but to save someones image being dragged into it publically, we should maybe not let people point them out on here.

Think all the evidence collected so far should be kept. I've alerted the police via email to the thread so they can review the information, but obviously this wont be done immediately so the evidence needs to remain. Would encourage anyone who witnessed the events or anyone with positive Id's to call 0161 8725050 (Greater Manchester Police)immediately.

The evidence can remain on photobucket or wherever you can save the images to cd to give to the police. There are many innocent people on thoose photos. If you are singling out those four and the ones who possible joined them later, you should have cut the photo accordingly.

how are they to prove any racism was going on from a still photo?

in the interest of fairness and sanity im going to lock this thread and delete any others that mention the "alleged" incident until things have been proven either way.

the thread will still exist so the police will still be able to view it but theres 3 pages of posts and no one has or will identify them.

you can bet the next home match they will be looked out for a watched very closely though
