The gulf between Super League and Championship is now beyond hope. OK Barrow had a great result v Cas but that was a one off. The Challenge Cup competition is now an elitist product which is supplemented in the early rounds by the hope of a fully amateur team overcoming a semi-amateur team. The full time professional teams then cream in with ties against semi amateur teams with no hope of winning but the loyal heartland following of a crowd with a dying hope in their hearts.
In the final rounds it then reverts back to boring Super League standard with inept refereeing from people who have never played the game at any standard.
I truly detest Wigan but the refereeing display today beggered belief. Leeds have friends in high places full stop !!!!!!!
Sometimes I think that Championship RL is much more exciting than super league due to the fact that they can play with a bit of aggression and flair.
I feel that the RFL had better switch on and concentrate on improving the product they already have rather than trying to expand it in a world stuck in recession especially europe !!!!!
The sooner someone takes over from Richard Lewis the better because in 10 years time ther will be 6-8 teams left living on Sky money and everyone else sitting at home saying ' I told you so !! '

Our season was all but destroyed after our "draw" with Castleford last year.

The supporters of Super League teams also forget that the Championship teams are part time also and the energy expended to compete on the same level is huge.

After the fixtures we have had since the Easter period I am surprised we have only lost 2 games ( 1 against Super League opposition and 1 against the top team).
I just hope we can keep the confidence and momentum going to carry on upsetting a few people. I must say that I am just glad to see entertaining rugby and look forward to each game as it comes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if we are still treading water like we we're against haven then we'll get beat.
for me it was the most tired performance so far this season.
lets hope with a full week off the players have managed to relax a bit.
its a pity about RP though we could have done with his experiance tomorrow.
