| The pitch is the only problem I can foresee. Sale is miles away and if their fans want to travel all that way for a home game watching what I personally think is the most boring sport on the planet then good luck to them. If the LSV make more money then good, if it makes the whole LSV project more stable financially then great. Lets just hope our groundsman can work a few miracles because early season it will be a mudbath.
If anyone thinks we will lose fans to union they are wrong as having them both played on the same ground will only highlight how poor union is.

I stand to be corrected on this but I don't think we get anything from food/bar sales, they are run by a separate company altogether not even LSV staff, think its ECM or EMC or something like that.
If Sale do play at LSV then they'll lose Blackburn Reserves or any other possible Premiership Reserve team, the quality of the playing surface is the reason they decided to play there.

| On the subject of the food/bar sales, why is it considered 'an offer' at LSV for a crap pie and a warm pint for 'just' £5?

LSV will be having rest days on a Saturday, I'm afraid.
Last I'd heard was that Sale had actually backed out of coming to the LSV as the pitch is 'too hard', and that would be partly backed up by Blackburn apparently signing a new 12 month deal at the LSV. Still, if they do turn up then I'd consider going to the odd game if they did offers for Leigh season ticket holders etc - certainly wouldn't consider paying the prices they charge at Edgeley Park though (and, yes, Kennedy royally screwed County).

| At last, someone else other than Dick Scratcher is backing me up. Although, I fear for your health if you did go, cause of death- boredom.

Pint £3 plus Pie £2:70 = £5:70 so £5 is "an offer" not a very good one mind
As I know very little about Stockport, Sale or even who the hell Kennedy is, what did he/they do and why would/should that effect us?

| Emotive and ignorant topic.
Sale coming to LSV and booting out BRFC and Genesis would be good for the town of Leigh.
Its good for LRLFC due to being a shareholder in LSV and for our SL aspirations.
Puffball fans at SCFC are having a right moan but failed to take ownership, in the same way as we luvved up HP with GHE and then the lease with SCL.
Kennedy saw a no risk opportunity, get the ground for £4m, sell the club without its assett to the fans for £1, let them love it up. Then look for the council to bankroll a new stadium that Sale would fully own with the threat of moving if they dont.
Kennedy has done what a good businessman does, got something cheap because the circumstances were right.
GHE got HP cheap because Higgins was weak and the supporters werent organised, Kenneddy just paid a bit more for Edgeley park. LSV would still be owned by its current parties, Sale would be a lodger only with less rights than LRL.

| So have I got this right.
Kennedy owns both Edgeley Park and Sale RU, but not Stockport which is owned by a Supporters trust as he sold it to them for £1?
The local council aren’t willing to fund the redevelopment of the Edgeley Park (or a new stadium) presumably because he owns it? So I guess he’s going to sell it to a developer and now needs somewhere for his team to play? Leaving Stockport without a ground?
Why would booting two teams out for one be good for Leigh? and why having Sale there does it improve our SL aspirations?

Completely agree. One of those teams has already been booted out though, sadly

Is it now confirmed that Genesis will no longer play at LSV now then? Were will home be next season?
Although I'm not a follower I will be saddened by the loss of Genesis, as they were and as far as I'm concerned should still be above all outsiders, part of the LSV dream.
