I'm not a Leigh fan, why would I?
The point I was getting at is often it's no use having deals if no one knows about them. A club in Leighs position should be out in the community and surrounding areas all the time.
What about a kids day in Leigh town centre where you can get volunteers handing out flyers to EVERYONE that walks by and players meeting fans while you put a bouncy castle and a little party on when the weather's a little better.

finding this all abit strange people seem to be able to find the cheapest flights, hotels ect when travelling to france yet want afull scale carnival to promote cheap ticket?

Show me the figures to back that up and I will believe, I aint interested in 2008, Im more interested in the franchise years stats please???

Tell people about it. The lad who sometimes comes with me paid on the gate, when I asked him where his family was he didnt have a clue that they could have all got in for another £11.

Like many, he does not get the Journal or Reporter. The club do a great job at keeping fans 'on their system' informed with almost daily emails but with limited resources they can only do so much regarding other advertisment.

Its a catch 22 situation unfortunatly.

The biggest advertising asset LSV have is the bypass. At the roundabout, a huge advertising board would be ideal because you can't read the screen at 40mph through the trees.

Think that's the point Dico was making............to go FORWARD the club needs to attract NEW fans as well as looking after existing one's ...........and tempting ex- regulars back into the fold, All the advertising in the world via the "Centurion" and the official website in addition to this messageboard will be totally meaningless to the people who have not as yet been to the LSV.

Those going to France dont really need to be "sold" the idea of rugby at LSV.

The club have the capacity to get the message out

They have available to them a large exhibition type trailer that could [ if asked and permission granted be placed in the town centre,Asda,retail park having special offers available where they can be taken up instantly , this combined with the 12 ft X 6 ft A frame advertising trailer that they also have free access to being towed round town , Asda , retail centre car park [ personnaly I'd suggest towed by one of those ' Boom ' trikes with Dave armitstead in a santa suit riding it would give them the neccessary profile

So why dont they do it ?

You've been on about this for yonks, with your association with the club they must know of your offer. Really, really can't understand why this opportunity hasn't been taken up. It seems like a no-brainer to me - or are there a lot of costs/resource involved that I can't see

Very frustrating Ste, I know AT has done more than enough to give us a team / coach to be proud of but what do the other guys do? Surely one of them can spare an hour or two to discuss this sort of thing with yourself & others.
