That was fantastic. Can't smile wide enough. An all round performance. Scoring 48 was unbelievable and our defence was superb.

Just got back from the game, i have to say im proud to be a leigh fan!!!

absolutely fantastic result! My aunt phoned me from the car on her way back to fill me in and let me know she will bring the dvd when she comes to visit next month!

I think this is a significant result for more than one reason:

1) I think we needed a result like this to prove to the doubters and stayaways that we are back. I would hope/expect that we get an extra 500 on the gate for the next home match (which we will of course lose heavily in true Leigh fashion!). As important, it gives the players that self-belief that is so important. I hope the players enjoy this great result - they certainly deserve it.

2) Although Fax may have had some players absent today (not sure what the final team was) - there's no doubt this was a crushing defeat under any circumstances, especially at home, and compared to last season. I think a change of coach might be coming there soon unless things are sorted out very quickly. To lose by that margin and to concede so many in the second half indicates a lack of effort rather than skill.

3) This results gives us a very good chance of FrankB's prediction for Easter coming true - hope he had a wager on that one!

Fortunately/unfortunately I have been out for the whole day. I puprposely avoided radios/updates and the like and switched on BBC Radio Manchester on the way home at about 5.55. Boy did Robbie put a smile on my face when he went over and the commentator said "thats the eighth Leigh Try, its now 46-10 (obviously before the kick).
