| Got to admit that I didn't attend today as me and my son have season tickets at Bolton.
However I think the admission prices for the friendlies are a bit steep ( even if they are against Super League teams). Alot of people realise there is a huge gulf between a full time super league team and part time champ team and won't pay to see THEIR team get battered. Add to this the recession and families simply not being able to afford to go.
I will be there against W***n next week tho and hope the team can build on todays experience.
By the way the season ticket for Bolton works out at £17 a game for both of us (not each). Bolton also realise not many people will pay full price to watch the unfashionable teams and always have ticket offers available for these games. Next Saturdays FA Cup fixture is costing £14 for the two of us (not each)

Judging from the amount of posters who did n`t go or thought that paying £14 for a friendly was expensive.........I`d say it was a decent turnout. ..Yes I did go today and will do next week v the munchers...

| Maybe 4,500-5,500 on next week, depends how much is known of the
W!gan team before the match as to whether people will pay 14quid to watch a reserve team run out.
3,600 Maybe deemed a poor gate but its pay 14quid (standing) for a friendly or 14 quid to watch a league game.
People will spend their money wisely in 2010.
Hopefully the club are looking at doing some early bird offers / family initiatives for the real season as it will be tough to attract people in if we struggle early season (don't forget we are a team that got relegated, a lot of onfield work will be required to get us up to mid table IMO).
In terms of results its also going to be one sided v a SL side (we arn't that good just yet), the gamble is getting money in via a larger pre season friendly gate than if we had played 'Swinton'.
The potential downside is that come season start we could be on two 60plus point hammerings, it then makes the Oldham game a hard sell as people will have 'made there minds up' that nothings changed and miss the NRC games.
The plus point being a few quid in the bank unexpectedly at this time of the year to strenghten the weakness's in the squad.

| Was a big crowd last year if I remember rightly. He might not be far away with about 8,000. Like someone else said £28 for the two friendlies and then the Oldham game is a bit steep in a 3 week period for a lot of people especially if you've got families with you.
The Bolton game today may have actually knocked a few off the gate, many Leythers have allegiancies towards the Wanderers and it was Owen Coyle's first game in charge and against Arsenal as well. The Pies need to turn out a decent team to get a decent turn out next Sunday... simple as that.

| It was a little over 6500.
Like Starbug said on an another thread I don't care who we play I will go.
We are not super dooper standard but I saw more encouraging signs today than I did for most of last season.
Just so everyone knows I thought Paul Rowley got more out of our team last season than NK. And I think he did instill a pride into what was a poor side to watch in most matches.
Re crowds just over 2000 Leythers today and if we play good stuff that will increase. Good following from Warrington.

| Must admit that I was a touch disappointed with the Leyth turnout, certainly not any more than we were getting in the league last year but then again I suppose most would know we were going to get a hiding today.
