R I P roy

Very sad news.
Another True Leyther who will be sadly missed.

My thoughts are with his family at this moment in time hope to stand in a min silence in honour of him on the 27th.

Once picked him up mid eighties standing on the east lancs around worsley/walkden trying to flag down any Leyther off to Leeds, was over the moon when I gave him a lift, apparently the supporters coach had forgot him and he hadnt missed a game for many a year. Never knew his name.
RIP Roy, at times like this you realise the next game could be your last

Sad to lose any loyal Leyther but lets hope the team can do him proud this season.

We can all understand his reservations of the new stadium particularly for older fans who have only really known HP but I'm glad the place is finally beginning to feel like home now

I didn't know him by name either. It is a really brilliant idea to show the photo. I met an old friend of mine yesterday who doesn't have a computer. He was a good mate of Roy but didn't know he had died.
