Would the club have a need to issue any statement if there had not been so much discussion on this subject on here, all that was required was for everyone concerned to keep a lid on things until the ink had dried on the contract. It was wrong for anyone to assume anything, these things happen in all business contracts every day. It was a mistake MR C to post on here before the deal was done, it was a mistake by the club to release the statement worded as it was, but the question is why did they feel the need to release a statement at all, do we actually believe we here about every deal for a young talented player we dont manage to sign.

If court action has been threatened then I would be very surprised if anything is said about it on Wednesday

i thought you couldn't talk about it if court action was ongoing not just threatened, i could therefore threaten to take anybody to court and stop people talking about whatever it was.

My advice would be 'say nothing about the incident in case court action is forthcoming' now Im not a solicitor but anyone with even half a brain cell could understand that being good advice.
