| So Barrow find it harder to attract players than clubs on the m62? Clubs along the m62 have to work harder to get people through their gates as the spectators have more clubs/sports to chose from.
Anybody living in Yorkshire or lancashire could chose from a number of SL or championship/championship 1 teams to go and watch and thats before we even get to premiership or championship football!!!
Without sounding rude there apears to be a lot less to do in Barrow than a lot of places, so Barrow RL should in theory find it easier to get locals through their gates.

| I don't get this one at all!! Cumbria is a hotbed for amateur RL. Why would clubs in Cumbria need to troll the M62 corridor for playing staff?? Any club chairman up there with a bit of brass, and an ounce of nouce would be hoovering up the local talent, and giving the Cumbrian fans a club they could really rally to!! - as we, in our own small way, are attempting to do here!
How many local lads - who'd display pride in the shirt, and would not need travelling expenses - could you get for the price of a couple of Aussies, over here to top up their pension fund??
It's a 'no-brainer' IMHO!!

| Don't see the problem.
Toulouse got a excemption this season and next season, also classed as Rugby playing area for a number of years.
Its the games rules on clubs exemptions on overseas players that are daft, Barrow are just highlighting it.

With also Barrow Island, Walney Central both of whom play in the NW Counties league. I wonder where they get these players from?.

| Has anyone queried how they are going to afford it and keep within the salary cap?
Half their squad must be turning out for less than minimum wage at this rate.
