I‘ve got to admit. Batley was a wild card

A bit difficult to call without knowing who has signed for each club.

Based on last season our squad needs more players as just having a quality coach won't be enough in this division (as other clubs will also be signing ex SL players as well but from a position of strength last season).

One thing I would expect is Toulouse to have a big season (either that or pointers that come next franchise announcements it will be 1 English club and 1 foreign club going into SL)

In the Champ id expect the top two to be between Barrow and fax and 3rd and Fourth between Sheffield and Fev.

Certainly is when they beat Barrow by a clear 30 points !!!

I can understand your excitement at being back int the Championship. But seiously guys, you can't consider yourselves contenders for next season. Millward may have done well at Saints, but you really need players for him to do something with. You need to start signing before before you start predicting.

Your problems last season - too small.

We've got a better squad than we have had for a couple of seasons IMO so I reckon we'll do well next season. With Millward on the scene & with all this up & coming young talent Leigh will be a force to reckon with in a couple of seasons. P.S we have made some signings & good solid ones.

Assuming you are a Barrow bandwaggon jumper, i've seen Leigh beat Barrow at least 15 times in the last few years how many wins have you seen, keep on discounting us mate leave us to keep beating teams on the quiet

Yeah thats right, I jumped on this bandwagon 24 years ago, so I reckon I have seen more Barrow defeats than you ever will.



As for our wins over Leigh, well I saw 2 last season, surely they are the only ones that count, any other results are consigned to the past, where you apparently live!

I am not here to start an argument. However the attitude that you have just displayed is what got your club in the situation it found itself in last season. Its called complacency, you may have been a big club and competed at a higher level than Barrow in the last 20 years, but at present you are not as competitive, well financed or well supported.

I am glad the situation with the league has been resolved in the manner it has. Leigh are where they should be. The point I wanted to make is that some posts by Leigh fans were talkin about top 4 finishes. Is that really possible without a major recruitment programme?

This Championship is getting better than it's ever has been & with the right coaching & squad, playing mentality & the right funds it COULD (in capitals to highlight the possibility) be easier to get in the top 4. The league has been capped & there isn't 2 SL clubs to be contending now so I'm confident that we can make the top 4 now our circumtances are different to last season.
